Reading Time: 2 minutesSaying Goodbye
For a long time now Google’s AdWords has been available in two different flavors; the old interface or the new interface. But, as expected, it was never going to last forever. So, on the 10th of July, it looks like we might be saying goodbye to the old AdWords interface forever.
A Change is as Good as a Rest
Google has begun sending out emails to selected accounts, informing them that the old interface is going to be turned off, with the first accounts getting switched off on the 10th of July 2018. It seems that Google is planning on staggering the rollout across the year. So, you need to start familiarizing yourself with the new interface as quickly as you can.
At the moment the plan is to have all users using the new style UI before the end of the year. So, you might still have 5 months of the old interface to play with. If you want some tips on the best way to set up the new AdWords layout, then you a check out our blog post on the 6 Must-Have AdWords Columns you need in the new layout.
Practice Makes Perfect
To prepare, we recommend you turn off the old interface now. There’s no point clinging on to the past forever! While there’s a fairly steep learning curve, we now find the new interface is much more manageable than the old one. Also, we have found it easier to train new people on AdWords, so if you want to get new members of your team using the PPC platform, this could be a good time to get them involved.
What do you think of the new interface? We’d love to hear how you’re getting to grips with the changes to the AdWords interface.
