Ever wish you could ask a Googler about the search algorithm? Well, you can. There’s a weekly forum called Google Webmasters Office Hours. It’s a great resource helping Webmasters with tips on how to get the most out of your website.
Real-Time Answers to Your Google SEO Questions
Google Webmasters Office Hours is chock full of tips, guides, and ideas. The Webmasters forum is a community-based initiative, encouraging Googlers to better communicate on various SEO tweaks and improvements. Got a burning question? Join the weekly Google Webmasters Hangout group and participate.
Massimo Invited to the Googleplex on November 9th
The live weekly webinar is typically hosted by Google Analytics guru (and one of Google’s official spokespersons), John Mueller. The hangout gives anyone a chance to ask a direct question about changes or observations about any of Google’s SEO-related products. Another side bonus is that the Webmaster’s Hangouts often have well-respected industry professionals as guests, forming a panel with John Mueller to answer questions from anyone who asks.
So when Massimo Paolini was invited to attend the Webmaster’s Hangout at the Googleplex again, we were ecstatic! You can check out the video. Of particular interest is a question about meta descriptions; specifically why meta descriptions that Webmasters include on a webpage are replaced by other text from the page. Which potentially has a significant impact on click-through-rate on a Search Engine Results Page.
Guest Appearance
You can see Massimo’s most recent appearance here. Where he tried to do a bit of digging into the new Search Console and if it will be more focused on AMP pages and, also, how to update an old post (exactly like we’re doing here). You can see the chat at around the 28-minute mark.
