Reading Time: < 1 minuteAt last year’s Google I/O I got a glimpse of Google Glass, the augmented-reality spectacles. If you missed last week’s deadline to apply for the honor of becoming a Glass Explorer, don’t worry… you may be able to purchase them in retail stores by the end of 2013. What cool features does Google Glass offer? According to the marketing hype, Google Glass enables you to:
- Take a picture hands free
- Record what your eyes are seeing
- Share what you’re seeing live with others
- Put directions in front of your eyes
- Speak-to-send a message
- Ask questions about your surroundings (e.g., how tall is the Golden Gate bridge)
- Translate your voice into another language
Are We Ready for Google Glass?
According to the press, the jury still out. Some think Google Glass is a great idea but the technology (and retail market) hasn’t caught up. Others think it’s a product that’s breaking barriers. In this 1 minute video you can check out the Google Glass experience and judge for yourself.
So, are you ready to plunk down $1500 for this piece of gadgetry? Personally I’m hoping to score a pair at 2013 Google I/O. Fingers crossed.

I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one these days.

Aw shucks, we’re blushing.
Yes, it is a paid theme. Yes, we modified it ourselves as that’s our business. We design and maintain WordPress websites along with other services like SEO and content marketing creation. Glad you like our site… it takes daily maintenance and a commitment to quality.

Nice post. I learn something new and challenging on blogs I stumble upon every day. It’s helpful to read articles from other writers and their websites.
