For those who are responsible for their company’s website, here’s a great opportunity for some free Search Engine Optimization Training. I’ll be a speaker at the upcoming Silicon Valley Code Camp, October 8 & 9, located at the Foothill College in Los Altos. Code Camp is a free community event where developers learn from fellow developers, and we’re expecting 2,000 attendees from all over Northern California. But you don’t need to be a geek to benefit from this free exchange of ideas between experienced coders, newbies, and wannabes.
Introduction to SEO
I’ll be presenting two sessions on Sunday: the first session focuses on SEO. Covering basics like keywords, title and mega tags, I’ll also share some “White Hat” SEO tricks. Attendees will learn about my link building philosophy as well as a few White Hat SEO management tools you can use on your website.
Conversion Rate: Heartbeat of An Online Presence
If you’re interested in Google Analytics — a very powerful tool — then the next session is for you. Google Analytics (GA) provides key intelligence about your website traffic including visitor behavior, geographic segmentation, and other data that affect conversion rates. You also receive some tips in reading GA reports, creating custom reports, and how to use your sales funnel properly. For the savvy landing page aficionado, I’ll debunk some A/B testing myths.
